The firm is located in the old Law Office Building, now The Historic Building in downtown Beatrice, Nebraska.
John W. Carlson started his law practice in 1966. He was previously associated with M.S Hevelone (Senior Partner of Hevelone and McCown) and assumed the client base of the late Fred W. Carstens. The main emphasis of the firm is business law, and related fields - estate planning, taxation, business entity formation, real estate, real estate development, banking, probate and estate matters. The firm was built on the philosophy that all individuals are entitled to competent legal services at a reasonable fee regardless of race, creed, color, or station in life. The firm services Southeast Nebraska with clients in Lincoln, Omaha and greater Nebraska. The members of the firm contribute their time and effort to community improvement, and serve on the boards of many civic organizations, and are active in the local, state and national bar associations.
